Definitions
- “Service” means private road transport (e.g. transfers, airport pickups, day-trip driving services) and related coordination we provide or arrange.
- “Booking” means a confirmed reservation for a Service as communicated by us in writing (including email or WhatsApp).
- “You” means the person making the booking or using the website, including passengers on whose behalf a booking is made.
Description of services
We operate a website and transport marketplace / booking channels through which you may request quotes and book private passenger transport and related services (including multi-stop routes and day trips as offered). Services may be performed by us or by selected transport partners vetted for licensing and operating standards. Unless explicitly included in your written confirmation, ancillary services (tickets to attractions, tour guides, meals) are not part of the Service.
Eligibility
By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or act with legal authority on behalf of passengers) and that information you provide is accurate. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Quotes, enquiries and confirmation
- Online price estimates or calculators are indicative and do not constitute a binding offer until confirmed.
- A contract is formed when we send you written confirmation of the essential terms (route, time, vehicle class, price) or when you pay where prepayment is required as a condition of confirmation—whichever applies to your booking flow.
- You are responsible for verifying confirmation details (dates, times, addresses, flight numbers). Please notify us promptly of errors.
- We may refuse or cancel bookings that are abusive, fraudulent, impossible to perform safely, or incompatible with law or insurance requirements.
Prices, surcharges and taxes
Prices are quoted in euros (EUR) unless stated otherwise. Published or quoted prices may include or exclude VAT and local charges as indicated at the time of booking. Additional costs may apply for waiting time beyond agreed limits, extra stops, route changes, child seats or boosters where offered, night surcharges, tolls or parking if not included in the fixed quote.
Payment
Payment terms (cash, card, bank transfer, link, deposit, full prepayment) depend on the route, season and partner requirements. You agree to pay the amount and by the deadline stated in your confirmation. Late payment may result in cancellation or recovery of reasonable costs.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation, changes and refund rules depend on the fare type and timing. Unless a different policy is stated in your confirmation:
- Cancellations made well in advance may receive a full or partial refund or credit, as specified in your booking communication.
- Late cancellations (typically within 24–48 hours of pickup, or stricter for peak season or special events) may incur a partial or full charge.
- No-shows (failure to appear at the agreed pickup without timely notice) may be charged in full.
- Changes to time or route are subject to availability and may affect price.
- Refunds, when due, are processed using the original payment method where possible; timing may depend on banks or payment processors.
Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory consumer rights under EU or Croatian law where they apply to you.
Passenger responsibilities and conduct
- Use seat belts where fitted; follow driver instructions relating to safety.
- Smoking is not permitted in vehicles unless explicitly allowed by law and stated in writing.
- Passengers must not be a danger to driving safety. We may refuse or terminate transport if behaviour is abusive, violent, illegal or poses a safety risk, without refund where reasonable.
- Transport may be refused if passengers are severely intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances in a manner that endangers safety.
Luggage, child seats and animals
- Luggage must fit the vehicle capacity you booked. Excess or oversized items may require a larger vehicle or extra charge.
- Child restraints: where required by law or offered as an add-on, you must request seats in advance; fees may apply as disclosed.
- Animals: only with prior written agreement; cleaning or damage charges may apply.
- Lost property: we may hold items for a reasonable period; we are not liable for valuables left in the vehicle.
Delays, route changes and force majeure
Arrival times are estimates. We are not liable for delays due to traffic, weather, road closures, accidents, border controls, ferry schedules, flight changes, strikes, public events, pandemic-related measures or other circumstances outside our reasonable control (force majeure). We will endeavour to minimise disruption and communicate material changes when practicable.
Liability
To the extent permitted by mandatory law:
- We are liable for direct damages caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, subject to proof.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. missed flights, lost profits) except where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
- Our liability for slight negligence may be limited to typical, foreseeable damages, except in cases of injury to life, body or health or breach of cardinal contractual duties.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under Croatian or EU consumer protection rules.
Insurance
Vehicles used for Services are required to carry mandatory motor third-party liability insurance as applicable under Croatian law. We recommend that you hold appropriate travel and health insurance for your trip.
Intellectual property and website use
Content on this website (text, graphics, logos, layout) is owned by Royal Comfort Ride or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape, frame or use content for commercial purposes without prior written consent. You may link to our homepage in a fair manner that does not suggest endorsement where none exists.
Personal data
Processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you acknowledge that booking data may be shared with drivers or partners as needed to perform the Service.
Consumer information (EU / Croatia)
If you are a consumer (an individual acting outside your trade or profession), mandatory provisions of Croatian and EU consumer law apply, including where applicable rules on distance contracts, unfair terms and remedies. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
For cross-border services within the EU, you may also rely on consumer protections available in your country of residence where applicable.

Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would refer to another jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence where applicable.
For business customers or where mandatory law allows, exclusive jurisdiction shall lie with the competent courts in Dubrovnik, Croatia. For consumers, you may bring proceedings in your place of residence or in Croatia as permitted by EU regulations.
Severability, assignment, entire agreement
- If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
- We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor entity with notice where required by law.
- These Terms, together with your booking confirmation and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding the subject matter, superseding prior inconsistent communications unless expressly agreed in writing.
- We may amend these Terms; the version on this page with the latest effective date applies. Material changes to ongoing contracts will be communicated where required.
